Welcome to Kumbaya Silken Windhounds

The Silken Windhound is a relatively new sighthound breed developed in the USA.
These dogs are a medium size, coated breed that fill a space in the category of dogs that hunt by sight.
They are similar to greyhounds, salukis, borzoi, whippets and other sighthounds.
Silken Windhounds (or Silkens for short) have an official registry
through the International Silken Windhound Society and can be seen participating in several
limited dog venues such as confirmation shows and racing events. They can be quite attractive
and agile athletes with gentle, non-aggressive tempermants. Above all they make outstanding
